The history of NdFeB Magne

A NdFeB Magnet (also known as neodymium magnet, NIB, or Neo magnet), the most widely-used type of rare-earth magnet, is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of neodymium, iron, and boron to form the Nd2Fe14B tetragonal crystalline structure. Developed in 1982 by General Motors and Sumitomo Special Metals, neodymium magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet made. They have replaced other types of magnet in the many applications in modern products that require strong permanent magnets, such as motors in cordless tools, hard disk drives, and magnetic fasteners.Neodymium permanent magnets (Nd-Fe-B) are composed of neodymium, iron, boron and a few transition metals. These magnets are extremely strong for their small size, metallic in appearance and found in simple shapes such as rings, blocks and discs. Magnetic separators, linear actuators, microphone assemblies, servo motors, DCmotors (automotive starters), computer rigid disc drives, printers and speakers. By the rare earth elements R and iron, boron intermetallic compound formed.NdFeB magnets have strong magnetic anisotropy and high saturation magnetization, is now the strongest permanent magnet magnetic, because Nd atoms is flat, the electron cloud is limited to iron atoms do not shiftto form the magnetic constant.
